Experiment 3: The Concept

One of the most important part of Architecture is highlighting the capacity and potential of nature’s role inside communities
Architecture needs to act to increase opportunities for urban nature to thrive and improve our liveability, health and wellbeing.
Architecture must have the ability to forge development in defined areas and of existing, quiet neighbourhoods.

The Light Rail Stop

5 Images Showing the Model in Lumion

With the EA I created, i really wanted to capture the sense of integration between forms to harmoniously come together and integrate their qualities into a space. The piece itself weaves not the fluid shape of the "artisan-ed" component but the rigid geometry of the prism around the structure. This, to me, portrays a lot of the splintered way of thinking yet does not make it harsh on the eyes and the piece makes sense spatially when they come together.
The Light Rail itself situates above a lowered Anzac Pde and floats in the air. It also acts as a pedestrian bridge across from NIDA to the Uni, with multiple levels and subspaces created by both the curve component and the square component. Every floor in this piece can be used as a ceiling.

Spaces within spaces creates public and more intimate areas within the Light Rail Stop. My focus in creating this was to create space and focus on places where congregation of people in intimate groups and large can be offered, focusing on the multicultural aspect of the uni
As it floats as a transitional space, it still acts as a gathering place and it stands as a junction point for arriving and departing commuters. (Pic doesn't seem to open)

The stop itself is pretty big though.

Where space was considered permanent it now feels transitory – on its way to becoming.

Building art is a synthesis of life in materialised form. We should try to bring in under the same hat not a splintered way of thinking. But all in harmony together.

EA: Where building art is a synthesis of space in materialised form, it can be considered both permanent and transitory. We should try to bring its way of becoming in under a harmonious splintered way of thinking.

Create a sense of warmth and humanity as opposed to sheer function.
Fragmentation used to reduce impact – divide the building into smaller pieces and arrange them so the building cannot be seen as a whole from any point of view.

The stronger the identity, the more it imprisons, the more it resists expansion, interpretation, renewal, contradiction.

The shapes and design that surround us are the music accompanying tragedy and comedy.
